Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 July 2026
This policy explains how we look after personal information — yours, and that of people who contact you through a website we host. We follow the Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles (IPPs). In short: we only collect what we need, we don't sell it, and we don't keep it longer than we should.
1.Who this covers
This policy is issued by S4Media Ltd, trading as LaunchKit (NZBN [NZBN]) — “we”, “us”, “our”. It covers this website (launchkit.co.nz) and the client websites we build and host, including the contact and enquiry forms on them.
When someone fills in the contact form on a website we host for a client, we handle that information on the client's behalf so their enquiry can reach them. The client is responsible for how they then use it. We act as their service provider for that data.
2.What we collect
We collect information you choose to give us, and a small amount of technical information needed to run the site and stop spam:
| What | Where from | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email, phone, business name and the details of your message | Contact / enquiry forms | To respond to your enquiry and provide the service |
| IP address and a timestamp | Automatically, when a form is submitted | Security, spam prevention and record-keeping |
| A short-lived verification token | Cloudflare Turnstile (our anti-spam check) | To confirm you're a person, not a bot |
We don't run advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't build profiles of you. We only ask for information for a lawful purpose connected to our service, and it's up to you what you choose to submit — though we may not be able to respond if key details are missing.
3.How we use it
We use the information you give us to respond to your enquiry, to build and run the website service, and to keep records of enquiries. We don't use it for unrelated marketing, and we don't sell it or trade it. We'll only use it for a different purpose if you'd reasonably expect it, you agree, or the law requires it.
4.Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the providers we need to run the service, and only so they can do that job:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, secure storage of form submissions, and the Turnstile anti-spam check.
- Resend — delivery of enquiry emails to the right inbox.
- For a client website, the business you contacted, so they can reply to you.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We don't otherwise share your information without your authority.
5.Storage & overseas processing
Some of our providers are based outside New Zealand and may store or process information on servers overseas. Cloudflare and Resend operate global infrastructure, so form submissions and enquiry emails may be handled outside New Zealand. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers that protect personal information to standards comparable to the Privacy Act, consistent with IPP 12.
6.How long we keep it
We don't keep personal information for longer than we need it (IPP 9). Enquiries submitted through a contact form are stored securely and automatically deleted after 12 months. A business you contacted through their website may keep your enquiry for longer under their own records — that's their responsibility, and you can ask them directly.
7.Keeping it safe
We protect personal information with reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, the Turnstile anti-spam check, and limiting who can see form submissions. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to guard against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
8.Your rights — access & correction
Under the Privacy Act you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it's wrong (IPPs 6 and 7). Email hello@launchkit.co.nz and we'll help. We may need to confirm your identity first, and there are limited situations where the law lets us decline — if so, we'll tell you why. If your enquiry was to a client's website, we may direct you to that business, who holds it.
9.Cookies
We keep cookies to a minimum. The Cloudflare Turnstile anti-spam check may set a functional cookie or token that's necessary for the security check to work. We don't use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
10.Complaints
If you're concerned about how we've handled your information, please contact us first at hello@launchkit.co.nz — we'll take it seriously and try to put it right. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
11.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published at launchkit.co.nz/privacy, with the “last updated” date at the top.
12.Contact
